ROOTS & REACH

The Barn is rooted in appreciation, cultivation, and creation of the arts. As a beloved Ohio Cultural Arts Center, we extend a warm invitation to residents across the Greater Cincinnati area — irrespective of age or gender — with complete accessibility. No membership is required for participation in our diverse array of classes and cultural engagements.

At The Barn, people of all ages can dive into a rich tapestry of artistic instruction in our classes and workshops. Our cultural calendar features esteemed events such as the Annual Mariemont Paint-Out, thought-provoking lectures, energetic dance classes, art exhibitions, ladies nights, and engaging art-making sessions tailored for families with young children.

ABOUT THE WOMAN'S ART CLUB CULTURAL CENTER

Located in the charming neighborhoods of Mariemont, Ohio, The Barn is a vibrant cultural center that offers a diverse range of weekly classes, workshops, rotating exhibits, and programming for all ages. Formally known as The Woman’s Art Club Cultural Center, The Barn welcomes residents of the Greater Cincinnati area of all ages and backgrounds.

Founded in 1892 by 19 women artists, the Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati is the oldest existing women’s art club operating without interruption in the United States. In 2007, the WACC founded The Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati Foundation, which in turn purchased, renovated, and repurposed the former Resthaven Dairy Barn into a cultural arts center we know and love today (please see the ‘Our History’ section below for more). The Foundation, following the leadership of a Board of Directors and Executive Director Christine Parker’s leadership, maintains and operates The Barn for its continuing development.

The Club is committed to supporting the well-being of The Barn and sets aside some portion of its annual budget for programs or improvements as a donation to the Foundation. Club members support the Barn through donations of time and money to Foundation fundraising events and campaigns.

The Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.

We proudly receive funding from the Ohio Arts Council and ArtsWave.
